Philipa Schulze-Hulbe

I am a 29 year old, dually qualified, Speech-Language Therapist and Audiologist. I was born in Pretoria and have lived here for most of my life. I am able to speak three language fluently (English, German and Afrikaans) and have always had a great interest in working with people, specifically with young children. Apart from working with young children, I enjoy baking, arts and crafts, cycling and gardening.

I qualified with an Honours degree in Communication Pathology in 2011 at the University of Pretoria, and completed my Master’s degree in Early Childhood Intervention at the same university in 2017. After qualifying in 2011, I completed my community service year in Delmas (approximately 60km east of Pretoria) and decided to stay on for another 5 years. During this time, I worked mainly with young children between the ages of 0-5 years. I recently joined the Speaktacular team and am looking forward to continuing to work with young children and their families to make their futures brighter. I have a passion for working with young children and have a specific interest in working with children with special needs. I am passionate about working in both fields of Speech-Language therapy and audiology. I really enjoy seeing smiles on my clients’ faces after successful intervention sessions. It means a great deal to me when clients’ families implement their intervention plans successfully and become independent of my services.
